Star of Persia sports the largest bloom of the ornamental onion family (8-12" wide), good in both cut and dried flower arrangements. It is a bulbous perennial that can be propagated by seed or division. It is poisonous to cats and dogs (and humans), but loved by pollinators.
Plant seeds in early spring about 1/4" deep and keep moist. Stratification improves germination. Will bloom starting the second season.
