Used in dyeing, not tea. Low maintenance plant that can take soil of low fertility. A nice cut flower.  This plant is not the plant for chamomile tea; that is German Chamomile, Matricaria recutita.
 
To sow, cover soil lightly. Sow indoors 8 weeks before setting out. Can direct sow after the last frost.
