Bells of Ireland is a non-native annual plant from the mint family, enjoyed for its bright green spikes of flowers that bloom from July to September.  It thrives in full sun but can tolerate some light shade.  It easily grows in average, well-drained soils and prefers cooler temperatures.  Despite its name, Bells of Ireland is not native to Ireland.

Directly sow seeds outdoors 2-3 weeks before the last frost date, barely covering seed. May self-sow. Germination improved with cold stratification.
