Carolina Phlox is a lovely, long-flowering native with clusters of pink flowers that provide a splash of color after most spring blooms have finished and before many summer perennials start to flower. This slender, erect bloomer has red-streaked flowering stems that may occur singly or in clusters. The flowers are arranged in loose, broadly cylindrical clusters, and the leaves are bright green, oval and leathery.
