Purple Knockout Lyreleaf Sage has rosettes of glossy leaves that transform to deep purple in summer, followed by red in fall. Although Purple Knockout is grown primarily for its foliage, spikes of very pale lilac-white flowers attract a bevy of pollinators and butterflies. This native grows in just about any soil and will self-seed, spreading to become a dense groundcover.
