A member of the mint family, this native sports small purplish blue flowers on branching racemes July through September attracting pollinators galore.  Once established tolerates dry, clay soil and will often self-seed.
Sow seeds shallowly in late fall-early winter. If grown indoors requires 60 days of cold stratification. Germinates 2 weeks to 6 months.
