New York Ferns are native and deciduous, with soft, yellow-green, finely-textured fronds. This fern is easily identified by the gradual taper at both the top and bottom of each frond. Although New York Ferns prefer moist soil, they will grow in drier locations (and spread less). If deer are a problem for you, this is part of your solution--and a lovely one at that.
