Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10:30am, Growing Tomatoes with Jill Alvarado, RAMGA member. Talk will be in the Community Room at Rockbridge Area Relief Association (RARA) 350 Spotswood Dr, Lexington. There will be vegetable plants for sale at this event. Free and open to the public.​

Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 12 noon to 1:30 pm, Native Shrub and Tree Give Away at RARA - 350 Spotswood Dr, Lexington. ​​​

 

The Arbor Day Native Tree and Shrub Giveaway is sponsored jointly by RAMGA and the Virginia Native Plant Society Chapter. Trees and shrubs are given away at no cost. Master Gardeners will be on hand to educate the members of the community on the best tree for their personal space . Those attending will be able to ask questions of the Plant Clinic team. The Compost Coaches will educate on the values of composting. In the Kidz Korner, activities will be provided for those kids who attend with their families.  Native plants will be on sale.

Saturday, May 3, 2025,  Valley of Virginia Herb Guild - Herb Sale.  8:30 am until Noon at the Sam Houston Ruritan Auction Barn - 1260 Valley Pike Rd., Lexington, VA

 

Saturday, May 10, 2025, 9:00 am to noon - Rain or Shine at Hopkins Green,  The County Council of Garden Clubs is holding their annual Spring Plant Sale.   Each year (now over 20 years) the five clubs set up booths for you to find various items to purchase.  They will be selling plants from their local gardens including annuals, perenniels, houseplants, herbs,, etc.  There may also be tools, books, baked goods, bouquets for Mother’s Day.  You name it!  A new feature this year is each club has their own-colored price tag.  We want the public to get to know each club and decide to join a club.  The proceeds cover the cost of all the hanging baskets in downtown Lexington, which will also be hung in May

Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 10:30am, Culinary Herbs with Faith Vosburgh, RAMGA Emerita member. There will be herbs for sale at this event. Free and open to the publicin the Piovano Room at the Rockbridge Regional Library, Lexington Branch, 138 S. Main St.

​Sunday, March 2 - 2 pm - The Friends of Woods Creek & Master Gardeners are having an Invasive Awareness Walk along Woods Creek, meeting at the Ross Rd. entrance at 2:00 PM. (Parking close to Waddell Elem.)  This is in coordination with National Invasive Awareness Week: Feb. 22 - March 2. For more information, send email to David.Agnor@Rockbridgeconservation.org

Saturday, January 18, 2025 10:00 am - Noon in the RARA Piovano Building:  Annual Seed Saver Event featured will be over 100 species of plant seeds that RAMGA members have harvested, processed, and packed. Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer seed-related questions along with informative handouts and examples of seed-starting equipment.

 

Saturday, November 16, 10:30am:   Winter Sowing and Seed Giveaway with RAMGA members Karen Lyons and Anita Tuttle.  Seed Giveaway will start at 11:30am.   RARA Community Room, 350 Spotswood Drive, Lexington, Virginia.
